And they offer all the latest tech like Amazon Smart Fire and lots of apps built in. For the money, Insignia TVs are a great choice with a good warranty. I recently bought a 65-inch Insignia Class F50 QLED 4K Smart Fire TV for $350, which is over $1,000 less than big name brands like LG, Sony or Samsung.

Insignia televisions are very affordable for what you get. They’re big, thin, lightweight, and have all the options and apps a modern TV should. But they’re not the best at anything. If you want the latest tech or the absolute best picture quality and sound, you’ll have to pay a lot more for a bigger brand like LG, Samsung or Sony.

However, Insignia TVs are manufactured by Hisense and built out of name brand parts made by companies like LG and Samsung.

Insignia TVs are a good TV brand with a low price that has all the options most people want from a TV. But they lack the latest tech that higher end TVs have.

Should An Insignia TV Be Your Primary Television

Insignia TVs are a great TV when shopping for the best TV under $500. They make very affordable TVs with 4K resolution and a large screen size with lots of tech and apps. For the money, you really can’t beat what they have to offer. But they don’t make the best TVs on the market and don’t have many of the latest technologies you’ll find in higher end televisions.

Most Insignia TVs lack a lot of the latest technologies that high end TVs have. Their refresh rates are a bit slower, the black aren’t as black and the colors aren’t as vibrant. But they’re thousands of dollars less than much of the competition.

I compared my new Insignia 65″ 4k UHD Smart Fire TV to a comparable 65″ 4K made by Samsung and LG. The specs are definitely better on the Samsung and LG, but they’re not worth the extra $850 to $1,150 in my opinion.

Insignia TVs don’t have the best contrast, refresh rate or the highest peak brightness when compared to higher end competitors. However, if you don’t mind a slower refresh rate and don’t care if the blacks aren’t super black, Insignia is a great TV for the money.

Is Insignia A Good Choice For TVs?

Yes, for the money, I think Insignia is a great TV brand. They’re very affordable for the size, weight and quality that you get. I recently purchased a 65-inch Insignia Class F50 QLED 4K Smart Fire TV for $350, which is over $1,000 less than big name brands like LG, Sony or Samsung. If you’re looking for an affordable HDTV with lots of great tech and apps, Insignia is worth a look.

The only downside of Insignia is that they don’t have the latest tech or the absolute best specs. I don’t play videos games or watch ultra high definition movies so I don’t care if the blacks aren’t the blackest or that the refresh rate is a little slower than super high end TVs. But if you want those features, you’ll have to pay for more a high end TV.

Insignia is a great TV choice if you’re looking for quality everyday TVs at a reasonable price. They have good-quality audio, video, tech, apps, size, display quality and weight for an affordable price. If you use your TV to watch regular HD cable channels, for streaming or playing games for fun, they’re a great option.

If you want the latest tech, a super fast refresh rate, the thinnest and lightest display or the blackest blacks, Insignia probably isn’t the best choice.

Is Insignia A Samsung TV?
